Description

The instructor is a Professional Registered Nurse who facilitates student learning in theoretical, laboratory, and clinical aspects of nursing. Instructors participate in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation. Requires minimal supervision.

Required qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing

• Ph. D. required for Nursing Instructor IV position or DNP or EdD.

• Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

• Minimum of one certification approved by Covenant Health (for Nursing Instructor II) upon hire

• Minimum of one certification approved by Covenant Health, recommended Certified Nurse Educator (for Nursing Instructor III) upon hire

• Minimum of one certification approved by Covenant Health, recommended Certified Nurse Educator (for Nursing Instructor IV) upon hire

• 2 years Clinical experience with adequate practice to assure competency in the area of instruction

• Level Coordinator:

• Nursing education experience

• Administrative experience

• Computer Assisted Instruction Coordinator:

• Nursing education experience

• Administrative experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in teaching

• Computer Assisted Instruction Coordinator:

• Computer and informational experience
